The Georgian tradition of winemaking is thought to have originated approximately eight thousand years ago. Throughout history, winemaking has not only the basis of Georgia’s economy but also a part of its spiritual culture.

Out tour begins in Tbilisi – capital Georgia, is the city of contrasts. One city  harmoniously combines Eastern and Weastern civilisations, ancient and modern architecture, different cultures.

We will visit  Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, one of the biggest in the country. The temple is on UNESCO World Heritage listing because of its glorious architecture. After that trip is continuing in Upliscikhe- fascinating and once enormous cave city sits 10km east of Gori above the north side of the Mtkvari River, with expansive views along the Mtkvari valley. There in Kvakhvreli you will taste geogian wine.

Next destination is Kazbegi (Stepanstsminda) village to the foot of Gergeti glacier covering Mt. Kazbek at the elevation of 3200 meters. On the way, you will pass beautifully situated Gergeti Trinity church, probably the most famous Georgian landmark. You will have opportunity to see the wonderful panorama from Gudauri View Point and will degustate wine in winery.

After journey you will have day off in Tbilisi where you can taste georgian cuisine.

Tour continues in Kakheti region – one of the most beautiful regions in Georgia. The very best wines come from Kakheti. Wines are named after the places where they are produced. Trip to Kakheti includes several tourist destination, such as Monastery of St. Nino in Bodbe, Sighnaghi – City of Love, Tsinandali, Alaverdi Monastery, David Gareja Monastery,Gremi Monastery, Nekresi Monastery We will also visit wineries Khakheti, where you can taste and buy wine.
